Employers are hiring college graduates with hands-on experience, such as internships, co-ops, and research experience, at a significantly higher rate than those without. When researching colleges, ask how they help students gain real-world experience: Do they offer strong internship programs, faculty-led research, or career center support? The best college fit isn’t just where your student learns—it’s where they can apply what they learn.
