University of Delaware is a medium sized school in the town of Newark, Delaware. While it may be situated in a small town, there is no struggle to ever find entertainment. There are amazing cafes and restaurants, beautiful nature for hiking, orchards, sports centers, malls and more! The school is known for their unique programs such as the World Scholars program--which offers students multiple opportunities to go abroad during their four years--and their 4+1 program-- which results in a masters degree with only one extra year of school. As the first school I visited, UDel was hands down one of my favorite college tour experiences!

Explore White Clay Creek State Park-- a state park right near campus, White Clay Creek is a great place to explore nature and go for hikes, something that UDel students love to do in free time.

Ice Skate at Fred Rust Ice Arena. The ice arena is a fun activity to do only four minutes from the University of Delaware campus, especially if you're visiting in the winter.

Walk around town. There are plenty of great shops and eateries to stop into in downtown Newark!

Go to an escape room. There is one escape room in Newark and its only three minutes from University of Delaware!

Cook's Family Farm. Cook's Family farm sells farm fresh foods like eggs, honey, milk and meats, and also sells holiday items (wreaths, trees etc.) in the winter.
