TOMORROW IS NATIONAL IVY DAY
The Ivy League schools release their admissions decisions annually on a Thursday at the end of March that has come to be known as “Ivy Day,” with many other top schools releasing their decisions just on or around that date as well. Unfortunately for students anxiously awaiting their decision notifications, there is no surefire way to predict what Ivy Day will hold; however, the trends that emerged from the Early Action and Early Decision rounds can offer insights into what to expect when those Ivy Day notifications go live.

MARCH MADNESS — BYE BYE CINDERELLA STORY THIS YEAR
College sports gigantism isn’t just for football. It has taken over March Madness as well. For the first time in history, the men’s basketball Sweet 16 is comprised completely of teams from football-playing power conferences — a record seven from the SEC, four from the Big Ten, four from the Big 12 and one from the ACC. That’s the fewest conferences ever represented in a Sweet 16. Chalk over charm. Consolidation over variety. Cinderella has been rubbed out.
