NORTHEAST STUDENTS ARE HEADING SOUTH FOR COLLEGE

Warm weather, affordability, and politics have prompted a teenage migration from the Northeast to the South. Why it matters: large southern state schools, many in already-expanding metro areas, are attracting a geographically diverse student body as Americans are increasingly disillusioned with the value of higher education.

HELLO HARVARD!

Harvard University has expanded its financial aid program to make attendance entirely free for students whose families earn less than $100,000 and to waive tuition for those below the $200,000 threshold. The move comes in the wake of last year's Supreme Court ruling that banned race from being a consideration in the admissions process.
